Environics has delivered another relevant batch of over 60 handheld chemical detectors for enhancing Italian Armed Forces’ chemical hazard preparedness and response capabilities.
The current delivery is part of a program for replacing older chemical detectors used by the Italian military, and is part of a frame work contract celebrated with our local partner and the Forze Armate Italiane. Since 2020, over 130 devices have been delivered to this organization.
Environics chemical detectors use an in-house patented modified aspiration type of IMS technology. This proven and tested multisensor orthogonal method consists of miniaturized IMS sensor, and semiconductor/MOS sensors, and has been recently considered “technologically superior” by the US Department of Homeland Security / Federal Emergency Management Agency.
